In the creative field, options for stock imagery are abundant. With an image portfolio of new and edgier artists, how do you engage creative leaders to think about their image-buying decisions differently?
From licensed to royalty-free image providers, the marketplace of commercial imagery has become crowded and cluttered. The Alternative Pick asked us to find a new way to position their catalog of artists and images from that of “on the fringe” stock images to anticipating what will be the next wave of creative image sourcing. Our approach was to simply engage creative directors and designers to be honest with their own creative heart. Using the metaphoric images of a lie-detection process, we created a visual and editorial platform for their catalog and supporting marketing efforts around the idea of finding the truth behind what inspires your best creative work.
