How do you visually brand a company where multiple personalities drive the business? Build a system that enables everyone to express exactly who they are.
Known for its motion graphics for HBO, Showtime and other media clients, VERB!, a studio based in New York, sought a more engaging identity that captured the personality of its people and the energy of their work. In the course of several creative sessions, we developed a truly kinetic idea: a system that used icons and other elements from the studio’s motion clips to create labels and stickers that could be used with other imagery to customize the identity for each person and purpose. The result was a living identity that not only riffed on the active thrust of VERB!’s name, but emulated the dynamism and spontaneity of the work.
